Dolores “Dee” Joan Strickling, age 86 passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Creekside Care Center in Jerome, Idaho. She was born on November 12, 1934, at Twin Falls, ID to Margaret Harriet Peters Strickling and Stanley Hubert Strickling. She was raised in Buhl, Idaho and graduated from Buhl High School with the Class of 1952. Dee worked at Twin Falls County as a reviewing Appraiser and then as a Deputy Tax Assessor for 14 years. The next 25 years, she worked for the Sawtooth National Forest Supervisor’s Office as a land appraiser retiring in 1994. Dee became the first female member of the Idaho Society of Farm and Ranch Managers and Appraisers. She was also the 2nd woman to be elected to the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. Surviving Dee is her sister-in-law, Fumiko Strickling of Las Vegas, NV, and a host of cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley H. Strickling (May-1991) and Margaret H. Strickling (April -1995) and her brother, Robert L. Strickling (Jan. -2006). Visitation for family & friends will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, ID; Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 16, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home with Interment following at the Twin Falls Cemetery, Twin Falls, ID.
