Donald Dwayne Lent August 6, 1936 – September 26, 2021 Donald Lent, age 85 of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away on September 26, 2021 at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. Donald was born in Sauk Centre, Minnesota on August 6, 1936 to Ralph and Ella Lent. His family moved from their farm in Minnesota to Twin Falls, Idaho when he was very young. Growing up, he and his siblings attended various schools, including Filer, as his parents moved frequently. He met his future wife Alice Fahrenholz through her brother. They were married on June 29, 1964 in Elko, Nevada. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Brenda in 1966. After Brenda grew up and married Wayne DeWitt, Donald’s greatest joy became spending time with his grandchildren, Brittney and Joshua DeWitt. Donald loved camping, hiking and motorcycle riding with friends and family. He enjoyed working on old cars, as well as lawn mowers and other types of equipment. He worked as a machinist for Northrup King Seed and Feed; the name was later changed to Sunseeds. He was presented with the Employee of the Month award several times in this job. He retired in 2001, after over 30 years of service. Donald is preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters, as well as his parents. He is survived by his wife, Alice of Twin Falls, Idaho; his daughter, Brenda (Wayne) DeWitt of Boise, Idaho; Grandchildren Brittney and Joshua DeWitt, both of Boise, Idaho; brother Lloyd of Twin Falls, Idaho, as well as many nephews and nieces. A Celebration of Life will be held at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 10:00 am. A reception will be held at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home following the graveside service.
