Donna Arlene Fuller

January 17, 1947 — January 12, 2023

Donna Fuller, 75 of Twin Falls passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side. She was born on January 17, 1947, to Walter Will and Dorothy Childers Will. She was the oldest of five sisters. In 1964, Walter and Dorothy took in two nieces and one nephew who had lost their mother in a traffic accident. From that time forward they were raised as a family of eight children. Donna was raised on the family farm south of Hazelton. She attended Hazelton schools and graduated from Valley High School in 1965. At an early age she developed a strong love for horses and riding. She was a member of the Valley Junior Riding Club and participated in many jamborees, gymkhanas, drill teams, trail rides and camping trips with that group and others. Donna was involved in many rodeo queen activities, and she was most proud to be crowned the Jerome County Rodeo Queen in 1968, going on to represent them in the Miss Rodeo Idaho competition that fall. There she was named Miss Congeniality and won the Horsemanship portion of the event. After graduation, she moved to Twin Falls and was employed as a telephone operator at Montain Bell and later a bookkeeper at Glen Jenkins Chevrolet and Ace Hansen Chevrolet for many years. Donna married Lyle “Fritz” Fuller on February 9th, 1973. She lived the rest of her life on their farm on the Salmon Tract south of Twin Falls. Fritz and Donna had three children-Jeanette, Luke, and Sarah. As they grew up Donna was always supportive of their many activities. Be it school sports, bowling, band, 4-H, FFA, or Junior Angus activities, she was always ready to do whatever it took to support and watch them in anything they wanted to do. Donna’s greatest enjoyment was the Twin Falls County Fair and watching her kids and grand kids show their cattle. She was a member of the Desert Gold Cowbells, Idaho Angus Association & Auxiliary, Magic Valley Angus Breeders, and the Idaho Cattlemen’s Association. She enjoyed bowling, pinochle parties, picnics, camping with family, and hunting trips with her family and the Lanting family. Donna worked on the family farm beside Fritz and their family. Whether it was irrigating, baling hay at 4 am, or thrashing beans until after midnight, driving harvest trucks she was always willing to do whatever it took to get the job done. Donna especially liked working with the cattle. Calving season was her joy, seeing each year’s new calf crop and watching the babies run and play. Donna was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1989. For more than thirty years she battled to not let the disease stop her from doing what she loved. After she could no longer walk, she could be seen at the bull sales, cattle shows and sporting events on her distinctive scooter. In recent years, she enjoyed watching out the front windows to look at her hummingbirds, cattle in the field, and keeping up with what everyone was doing on the farm by what vehicles and machinery went in and out of the driveway. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Marie Bourn and Karla Williams. She is survived by her husband; her children Jeanette Fuller, Luke (Jenny) Fuller, and Sarah Fuller; grandchildren Bridon (Kim), Auguste and Heston Curtis, Jacee and Bailee Fuller, all of Twin Falls. Her sisters Vivian (Alvin) Meyer, Pocatello, and Bette (Mark) Gower of Bellevue and her cousin/siblings Linda (Chuck) Denure, Pocatello, Kevin (Delene) Childers, Oakley, and Bonnie Bolender, Idaho Falls. The family would like to thank the nurses and aides of Harrison’s Hope Hospice for their excellent care of Donna for the last several years. Donna was a wonderful wife, mom, and Grammy and she will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held Friday, January 20th, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Hollister Presbyterian Church, 2461 Central Avenue in Hollister.
