Gail was born April 26, 1951, in Wendell, ID, the daughter of Jim and Shirley Hogue.
She graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1969 and after high school, in 1972 she welcomed her baby boy, Billy. In June, 1976 Gail was set up on a date with Jerry Sorenson where they quickly fell in love and were married on August 13, 1976.
Gail had many professions, and other than her family, her greatest accomplishment was working at Herrett's Gun Stocks where she was able handcraft gun stocks for people such as Ronald Reagan, Hank Williams Jr., and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Gail had many hobbies she liked to pursue and among these included here passion of gardening, canning, refinishing furniture, reading, and really anything she could work on with her hands while using her artistic touch. She loved the outdoors and loved to pursue many of the outdoor activities that Idaho has to offer, such as fishing with her family, camping, golfing, etc..
Gail truly loved and valued her family and friends. She surrounded herself with those she loved and ensured that those she loved most were well taken care of and shown how much they meant to her. Her favorite book's name was Love You Forever, and one of the quotes from the book that she lived by was “I love you forever, I like you always, as long as I am living, my baby you'll be.”
Gail is survived by her husband Jerry Sorenson of Twin Falls, ID., brother Daniel (Tammy) Hogue of Phoenix, AZ., sister Carol Hansen of Twin Falls, ID., son Bill (Tenille) Sorenson, two grandson's Andrew and Anthony Massie of Twin Falls, ID., two granddaughters Lacey (Logan) Wright of Twin Falls, ID., and Megan (Austin) Newlan of Twin Falls, ID., and six great grandchildren with one more on the way. Gail is also survived by her close friend and cousin Jolie Cavin-Bown and dear friend Sabrina Awalt. Gail is preceded in death by her parents James and Shirley Hogue, brother Jim “Bim” Hogue, favorite Aunt and Uncle Diane and Dewey Cavin, and great granddaughter Hadleigh Massie.
