Donna Elaine Hendrickson Winden, 76, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, at her home in Twin Falls, Idaho. Donna was born on December 12, 1947, in Eugene, Oregon to Doris Elaine and Oliver John Hendrickson; they lived on the family dairy farm on Duncan Island in Cushman, Oregon. She was involved in the dairy calf club 4-H and won many awards. She worked very hard on the farm and knew she would own one of her own someday. She worked in various mills in the area as a young woman then Married Gil Winden and moved to the Willamette Valley. She owned and operated a dairy farm for many years in Scio, Oregon. In Idaho, she worked on large commercial dairies where she was a veterinarian assistant and followed her passion for caring for the animals she loved. She also raised Brahman Bulls for rodeos and always had interesting animals on her small farm in Twin Falls. Donna is survived by her siblings, Jerry Hendrickson of Mapleton, Oregon, DiAnne Buss and Joyce Elliott of Florence, Oregon, and 7 nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Private family services will be at a later date but contributions can be made in her honor to Future Farmers of America or Animal Rescue and The Humane Society.
