Dora May Frasier, 99, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus, January 13, 2024 in her home in Twin Falls.

She was born in Twin Falls on May 1, 1924, to C.E. and Dora Jensen. Dora May was the first daughter of five girls.

Her parents took her home to Rogerson, ID where she spent her early childhood and attended a two room schoolhouse. Her father was a forest ranger and whenever he was transferred, she would have a new school and a new life.

They ended up in Oakley where she graduated from high school.  

Later on she graduated from Albion State Normal to become a teacher.

She went on to teach 2nd and 7th grades in Oakley for two years.

Later on in life she taught 3rd grade at Harrison Elementary in Twin Falls for 16 years.

She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1971 from Idaho State University. During the summer of 1944 she attended a Saturday night dance at the Radio Rondevous in Twin Falls where she met William James Emerick (Bill). They were soon married on August 11, 1945. They raised two children together. Bill passed away in July 1971 at the young age of 47 from cancer. They had a beautiful 27 years together.

Two years later she met George Bennett of Jerome at a church dance.  They were married in 1974, and enjoyed a very full life together for 30 years.  They both had a love for square dancing. It started in 1978 with the Buttons ‘n Bows in Jerome, and then in 1979 with the Magic Squares in Twin Falls.

George passed away in 2004.

A few years later she met Marvin Frasier at the Twin Falls Senior Center Friday night dance. They were married in 2009. They enjoyed eight years together. Marvin passed away in 2017.

She is survived by her daughter, Christy Anne (Jerry) Anderson of Twin Falls, Idaho; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael James Emerick, who passed away in March 1998; her three husbands; her four younger sisters; and her parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Wilks Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. An interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery at 12:00 PM, 2296 Kimberly Rd, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. A reception will follow at 1:00 PM at Wilks Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
