Doris Graves, age 84, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away at home surrounded by her family on August 18, 2019, following a courageous battle with cancer. Doris was born at Buhl (Lucerne) Idaho to Hayden and Bessie Wright. She attended school at Buhl, Hollister, and Filer high school. She married Maurice Graves on November 25, 1950, and they subsequently lived in several states, including New Jersey, California, Texas, and Louisiana, during his tour of duty in the army. Upon their return to Idaho, Doris worked at J.C. Penny Co., Tempo Department store, and Twin Falls Orthopedics until her retirement. Doris loved to travel, and she was a avid fan of country music. Branson, Missouri, was a favorite destination, particularly in springtime with dogwoods in full bloom. She also enjoyed Irish music, and she travelled to Ireland twice on [Daniel O'Donnell] Irish music tours. Doris loved all creatures, and she cared for many dogs and cats throughout her lifetime. Doris' grandfather was a Nazarene pastor, and she followed in their teachings. Doris was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband Maurice, daughter Cheryl, brother Olen (Herta), and three nieces. Her burial will be in Twin Falls cemetary following a private service.
