Edythe Widmer, age 93, of Kimberly, Idaho went home to the Lord, July 3rd 2021 She was in her home surrounded by family. Edythe was born in Malad, Idaho on June 12th, 1928, to Edmund and Mary Nielsen. Moved to SLC when she was 4, just after the death of her father. Then at age 10 her family moved to Twin Falls. Where she graduated from Twin Falls High School. While still in High School she was married to Wayne Bower. They later divorced. In 1956, she Married Gene Widmer who she remained married to until his death in 2006. She loved horses, spending time in her yard gardening, her dog Chief, Bowling, camping and spending time with her family, jig saw puzzles, coffee with her friends and yard sales. Ede was Kimberly city clerk/treasurer From August 1968 till her retirement March 1994. She then took a 2-year break after which she went to work for Rock Creek Fire Department July 1996 to her retirement October 2009. Ede was preceded in death by her husband and 3 brothers. She is survived by her son Paul {Beth} Lavino of Mesa Arizona, Son Rick Widmer and Daughter Kathy {Shane} Mitchell both of Kimberly. Her Grandchildren, David {Angel} Sartain of Kimberly, Jennifer Sartain of Metairie Louisiana, Kirstin Mitchell of Twin Falls. Amy {Ryan} Visconti Shawn Lavino, Annie Lavino all of Mesa and Tim Lavino of Chicago. Great Grandchildren Brendon Evans, Katelynn Sartain, Rowan Kjormoe, Savanna O’Connor, Cameron, O’Connor, Dante Bastian, Alex Mitchell, Piper Golding, Lyla Beth Visconti. Viewing will be held Monday July 12th 5pm-7pm at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home & Crematory 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho. A Celebration of Edythe’s Life will be held Tuesday July 13th at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. All services and arrangements are under the direction of Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home.
