Elvin Lorrin Calhoun Jr., affectionately known as "Buzz," left this world on November 29, 2024, in his beloved hometown of Twin Falls, Idaho. Born on March 23, 1962, Buzz was a beacon of joy and love for everyone fortunate enough to know him.
he lived for his children: Kody, Kayti, and Nyllarose, who were his pride and joy, surpassing any earthly measure of success. He found the greatest fulfillment in being a devoted father, often spending cherished moments with them waterskiing, snowmobiling, and enjoying the great outdoors while camping. His adventurous spirit and zest for life drew others to him, creating lasting memories and bonds.
Family meant everything to Buzz. He was a caring brother to Maria Whitmill Bates, Judith Lux, and Hazel De La Garza, always checking in to ensure they were well. His brother-in-law, Larry Lux, and Matthew De La Garza held a special place in his heart. Buzz’s spirit extended to numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, who felt his love and support throughout their lives.
While he leaves behind a legacy of familial love, Buzz also carries with him the memories of those who have passed on. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Chester Calhoun, grandmother Edna Calhoun, grandparents Leo and Cleo Dugger, and his father Elvin Calhoun Sr. The loss of his mother, Joyce Calhoun, and his son Alex Calhoun, weighed heavily on Buzz, but his love for them remained unwavering even in their absence.
The world was undeniably brighter with Buzz in it. His laughter, compassion, and joy in connection will be missed deeply by his family and friends. As they gather to remember a remarkable life intertwined with love, they celebrate the incredible influence Buzz had on every heart he touched. May his legacy of kindness and adventure continue to inspire all who knew him.
