He was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, on October 4, 1968, to Virgil and Lois Anderson. He was their first-born son and a big brother to Kent who was born two years later. He became a child of God through the waters of Holy Baptism at Peace Lutheran Church, Filer, Idaho, on October 20, 1968, and later confirmed his faith at the age of 14 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Twin Falls, Idaho. His faith was continually strengthened by hearing God’s Word and partaking of the Lord’s Supper. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School for eight years, and then graduated from Twin Falls High School, College of Southern Idaho, and Boise State University. His mother introduced him to her co-worker, Heather, at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center and they lived, loved, and wrote their story together since their marriage on June 22, 2002. They have two sons, Hunter and Dylan, both of Twin Falls. Eric was a very devoted and loving husband and father. He rarely ventured out without his boys. He gave his everything to his family and he will be extremely missed. He was known for his easygoing personality inherited from his father and his accepting spirit of those he was with, whether in his employment or in his circle of friends. The legacy he left us with was his ability to always think of others before himself. He was most recently employed at WestRock for 12 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and most weekends found him out fishing or hunting with his boys. He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil, in 1998. He is survived by his wife, Heather, sons Hunter and Dylan, his mother Lois and brother Kent, his life-long buddy DC Hannah, and many relatives and friends he dearly loved. A service to celebrate his homecoming with his Lord will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2055 Filer Ave. E, Twin Falls, Idaho. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made in Eric’s name to Immanuel Lutheran School Scholarship Fund and given to the ushers at the time of the service or mailed to the church.
