Frederick Bruce Carlson

Frederick Bruce Carlson, known to his friends and family as Rick, age 75 of Buhl, Idaho passed away November 7, 2021 at Woodland Assisted Living in Buhl, Idaho where he had many friends and people who loved him. Rick was Born June 6, 1945 in Seattle, Washington, the son of R. W. (Roy Woodrow) & Pearl Carrie Fredericks Carlson. Rick’s father -Born in 1914 served in WWI and his mother, Pearl – born in 1916 was married and left behind to keep the home fires burning. Roy’s father was drafted on November 6, 1940 and was sent overseas. Pearl had son, Gary who was 10 and Shirley who was 3. When Rick’s Dad returned from the War – 4 more children with Rick being one were born to the family. Growing up Rick was closest to his brother Gary, whom he considered his best friend. Gary stood up with Rick as his Best Man at his first wedding to Nancy Cyr in May, 1969. Rick and Nancy divorced after little more than a year in 1970 and Rick married Karen L. Tull in 1974. They were together until July of 1988 and to this union a son was born. Karen filed for divorce in 1988. Rick enjoyed people, he worked as a Custodian and Janitor for different Janitorial Services, and he traveled around the Country. Later as one by one, he lost track of family he became more and more of a loner. Life got to be difficult and it became more difficult for Rick to Navigate. So, he moved into Woodland Assisted Living where people cared for him and made him feel part of Community again. A Celebration of Rick’s Life will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho with Pastor Paul Springer officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home with Private Inurnment to be held at a later date.
