He met and married Violet Petersen of Wendell on June 1st, 1952, and had a long loving life together for 72 years. They have 3 sons, Kent and Kurt twins and 3 year later Clint.

Dad maintained a love for horses and hunting dogs throughout his life, there were many hours of horse trading, shoeing horses and working on various ranches working cattle and going on long cattle drives up to Fairfield. His favorite bird hunting was pheasant and sage grouse with his dog Spooks.

Dad and mom had many trips and adventures outside Idaho and more trips camping enjoying Idaho’s beauty. Special times were family gatherings and reunions and all the stories that ensued.

In the Wendell community dad was active in VFW as member and post commander, volunteer fire fighter, cub scout leader, real estate agent and mayor for 4 years.
