Hazel Marie Thompson

Hazel Marie Thompson, 97 of Jerome, Idaho passed away at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, from a fall, August 11, 2020. Hazel was born in Bristow, Oklahoma on May 14, 1923 to Andy & Leora Horn Boyd. Hazel met her future husband, Donald Thompson in Livingston, CA. They were married February 24, 1939 and were married for 38 years before Donald’s passing in 1977. Together, they had three children, Floyd, Janet & Barbara Thompson. Hazel loved to listen to Country music, she loved camping, fishing and playing penny slot machines. She was known for her cooking especially baking. Everyone loved her chocolate cake. She also loved quilting and making baby blankets for Newborns. Hazel was the kindest woman you will ever meet. The light from the Love she gave to her family will live on forever among the many many lives she touched. Surviving Hazel is her daughter, Janet Graham and husband, Odell Graham, 10 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and many great, great grandchildren. Her loving husband, Donald Thompson, son, Floyd Thompson and daughter, Barbara Thompson Donabedian preceded her in death. Visitation for Hazel will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, ID. Graveside Funeral services will then be held Friday, August 21, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lakewood Memorial Cemetery in Hughson, CA where Hazel will be laid to rest. All services and arrangements are under the direction of Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls, ID.
