James A. Moore (Jim) was called to his eternal home on October 8th, 2019. He was born toJames N. Moore and Maxine (Gassner) Moore in Twin Falls on March 14, 1941. He attendedschools in Twin Falls and graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1959. He was employedby Circle A Construction Company and then Idaho Transportation Department, ShoshoneDistrict, where he retired as the maintenance foreman. Jim married Sharon Rose Turner on January 30, 1968. He was a good father to Glenn and GuyHollinger; Sharon’s young sons from a previous marriage. They later divorced. Jim was amember of the board of directors for the Twin Falls Gun Club where he served in variouscapacities over the years and made many lasting friends. He was an active member of the TwinFalls Sheriffs Mounted Posse Association and participated in numerous horsemanshipperformances at the Twin Falls County Fair and Rodeo. He enjoyed bowling, boating, huntingand talking with friends. During the years centered in the 1980's, Jim's special companion, Mary Turner, brought herfamily and his family together for memorable gatherings and social events. Jim said they werethe best years of his life. Time marches on, and Mary's career eventually necessitated hermoving out of state. In 1994, Jim and Jean Aslett were married They enjoyed travel and adventures together withtheir families, but later divorced while remaining good friends until her passing. Jim was afflicted with emphysema during his later years, a condition that diminished his qualityof life and restricted many activities, but never dampened his sunny disposition. He wasgrateful for the countless favors his generous friends showered on him over the years. One ofhis special friends operates a beauty salon, Leslie's Barber & Styling Shop. It was said Jim wentfor a haircut and lost his heart; who could blame him, Leslie is charming. The family wishes to thank the staff and management at BrightStar Care, and Cedar DrawAssisted Living Center for their professionalism and kindness to Jim while he was under theirloving care. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Maxine; nephew Dean Heileman; grand-niece, Kristin Quale, and former spouse Jean Aslett. He is survived by two sisters; Helen Quale (Mel) of Twin Falls and Julia Moore of Monroe, WA, nephews, Duane (Karen) Quale ofWhittier CA, Steve (Sonya) Quale, and Bruce (Dana) Quale , of Twin Falls; nieces, Debra (Steven) Horsley of Monroe, WA, Misty (Mike) Kuo of Oahu, HI, and numerous cousins, grand-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Parke’s Funeral Home & Crematory, 2551 Kimberly Road TwinFalls, at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 17 with Pastor John Copen officiating. Viewing will befrom noon until 2 at Parke’s. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Twin Falls County Search & Rescueat P.O.
