James (Jim) Wollen Trevey passed peacefully away on January 30, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at Cenoma House in Twin Falls. Jim was born to James Bailey Trevey and Mildred May Wollen on December 21, 1942 in Emmett, Idaho where he joined his sister Lynn. They soon moved to Weiser, Idaho where Jim attended school. In high school he and his friends loved working and restoring old heaps (which they were still talking about 50 years later) in his father’s garage. Jim was also great on water skies and spent many a summer day on the Snake River with his boat and many good friends. He was known locally as “Snake River Jim”. Jim and his father built a small cabin in McCall, Idaho which brought everyone many good times and family memories for years to come. He met Connie Roberts in 1962 and they were married in 1964 moving Goldendale, Washington on their wedding day. He and Connie lived in many states because of Jim’s work building transmission power lines. Jim was always a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union for over 50 years and retired out of Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 2003. Although Jim was a quiet sort of man, he had many friends and coworkers who liked and respected him and his opinion. Jim has a good sense of humor and was a smooth talker, talking people into swapping or making deals that wasn’t always to their best advantage! St. Peter needs to be made aware that Jim Trevey is on his way and is going to want to cut some kind of special deal. Jim and Connie have 3 daughters, Dianne, Angela and Cheri whom he loved very much. He has 7 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. He enjoyed many hobbies and also his summer home in Mackay, Idaho. His family always said of him that there was nothing he couldn’t build, fix or make better for he was a man of many skills and talents before Alzheimer’s took it all away. Jim leaves behind his wife, Connie of 58 years, 3 daughters, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was much loved and will be greatly missed. At his request there will be no funeral service. If desired, donations can be made to the Idaho Humane Society or to Twin Falls People for Pets. The family would like to thank the staff at Cenoma House, and Daisy the special caregiver dog who took good care of Jim, also the excellent care from Hospice Visions. .
