Janet Fay Van Pelt, age 86, of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away at Cenoma House in Twin Falls, Idaho March 24, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Janet was born in Upland, California on November 11, 1934 to Charles and Fay (Haywood) Chamberlen. She graduated from Chaffey High School - Class of 1952. Janet married the love of her life, Franklin Daniel Van Pelt on June 21, 1953 in Ontario, California. Janet loved quilting, sewing, camping, and Model T tours. She was a bank teller, vault teller and manager's secretary. She was a member of the Pomona First Baptist Church. She directed and played in Handbell Choirs for 15 years. She played trombone in the community band, and was always her husband’s secretary. Janet is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Franklin Daniel Van Pelt, daughters, Terry (Brian) Van Leer of Temple City, California, and Cheryl (Bradley) Coleman of Kimberly, Idaho, daughter-in-law, Mary Van Pelt of Chino, CA, brother, Gerald Chamberlen of Nebraska, also 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grand children. Janet was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Fay Chamberlen; her son, Gary Franklin Van Pelt; and a brother Robert Chamberlen. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls, Idaho.
