Jason Wade Lewis, 52, of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away on August 4th, 2023 at St. Luke’s Medical Hospital from a heart attack. Jason was born to Harold and Judy Lewis of Burley, Idaho on June 15th, 1971. Jason is the middle child of his brothers Clinton and Brandon Lewis. Jason grew up in Burley and graduated from Burley High School. During school Jason played varsity football and varsity wrestling and was a very successful athlete. Seven days after graduation Jason went into the United States Marine Corp. He served from 1989 to 1993 and was part of Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Operation Restore Hope. Once a Marine, Always a Marine. Once out of the military, Jason met and married Nicole Fries and they had three beautiful daughters, Samantha (Velio of Twin Falls), Shelby (Luis of Twin Falls), and Laynie (Donovan of Twin Falls). Jason and Nicole later divorced. He later met and married his wonderful wife and the love of his life, Tina Garner of Twin Falls. They were married from 2005 to current. Like his dad, uncles, and brothers, Jason drove semi-trucks as that was also his primary job while he was enlisted in the Marines. He drove for Blick Trucking, Pepsi, AG Express, Meadow Gold Dairies, and finally Scott A. Jackson Trucking of Jerome, Idaho. He loved working for Scott A. Jackson. He later began the job he loved most of all, being a full time stay at home papa for his amazing grandchildren. Jason was loved by many, for his humor and jokes (many of those were inappropriate majority of the time). He just had a personality and a smile that would create friendships everywhere. He could walk into a room of 10 strangers and walk out with 9/10 becoming lifelong friends. Jason’s hobbies included watching and cheering on his daughters play any sports that they were apart of. He was and always will be their number one fan. He also had a love for bowling, which led him to join Sunday Early Mixed, Tuesday Consolidated, and Friday Night Moose league. Jason loved his wife and daughters, however the greatest loves of his life were his grandbabies: Atticus 2 years, Jax 9 months, Kye 3.5 months, and his birthday buddy, Princess Valerie 7 weeks. Jason loved his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jason made many friends that later became family. Jason leaves behind his wife, 3 daughters, 3 son-n-laws, 4 grandbabies, his younger brother Brandon, and his beloved dogs. Jason is preceded in death by his father Harold, his older brother Clinton, his cousin Darrel, and many other uncles, aunts, and cousins. Military honors will be given at Wilks Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls, ID 83301 on Tuesday, August 15th, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Following the service at 2:15 we will then gather at Harmon Park for a Celebration of Life Potluck with family and friends.
