Jimmy Rex Hartman was born September 19, 1932. Jimmy was born in Lubbock, Texas, moved to Southern California at around the age of 5. His father, Jeff, served in the US Navy during WWII and died when Jimmy was only 12. His mother, Alma, provided for the family by becoming a meat cutter and passed away at 103 years old. Jimmy served as a US Marine from 1950-1955 stationed out of El Toro Marine base. He was an MP & a good boxer in the Marines and shared that with his kids. Jimmy married his wife and love of his life, Joanne, January 6, 1956 and lived with their 4 children in Riverside, CA and moved to Twin Falls, ID in 1972. He worked at Borne aircraft while coaching baseball for his boys. When he moved to Idaho he opened The Lighthouse, a lighting store and later went to work for Twin Falls Home Building & Supply. After years of suffering from neuropathy and hearing loss he passed on April 10, 2023 from kidney failure. He is survived by his 5 children; Jaime, Janet, Jeffrey, Jay & April. His grandchildren; Greg, Brian, Scott, Vann Sylten, Graham Hartman & Paige Robinson and 10 great grand children. He was a devoted husband and father and will be missed. Service will be held Monday May 8, 2023 at 12:00pm at the Veterans Cemetery in Buhl.
