Joe Galan, age 68, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away on December 15, 2019 surrounded by family members and the love of his life, Mary Galan. Joe was born in La Mesa, Texas on January 28, 1951 to Andres Galan Sr. and Trinidad Barela Galan. He attended school up to the eighth grade and then pursued a life of working hard to provide for his family, whom he loved unconditionally. Joe and Mary were committed to teach other since they were both at the age of twelve. They eventually married June 10, 1969 in Jerome, Idaho. They remained in love with each other for 50 and a half years and this love still continues. Joe loved doing all he could for his family to make them happy, which in turn, gave him much satisfaction and pride. He was always open to giving all of us advice and encouragements, whether we asked for it or not. It was his way of showing he cared and loved us. He worked for UPS for 29 years and then retired into the golden years. Joe was predeceased by both his parents and his sister, Paula Vargas. He is survived by four brothers: Pedro (TX), Andres (ID), Roberto (TX), Sammy (ID), and five sisters: Lisa (TX), Sally (ID), Maggie (TX), Gloria (ID), and Elvia (ID). He was a father of three: Abel (ID), Alex (MASS), and Felicia (CT). He was also blessed with seven grandchildren: Abel Jr, Joey, and Dallas of Oregon; and Jasmine and Arianna (ID), Tristyn and Calista (CT). Joe is blessed to also have two great-grandsons Noah and Silas (OR). A viewing for Joe will be held Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls, Idaho. With a Rosary following at 7 P.M. The Funeral Mass will take place Friday, December 20, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 161 6th. Ave. E. Twin Falls, Idaho.
