John Berreth

John Berreth, age 93, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away on January 9, 2020. John was born July 25, 1926 in North Dakota to Mary and Peter Berreth. He married Martha Trammel Sept 21, 1950 in Elko Nevada. They divorced in the 60’s but co-parented their 5 children to adulthood. He married Donna Hughes in 1985 and became a stepfather to her 3 children. John was a very hard-working man. He owned and operated several food concession stands over the years providing fare at events and venues throughout the state. He was still working hard in his seventies at the beet dump at Amalgamated sugar. He never liked to sit still and raked leaves with one of his great granddaughters just last fall. John is survived by his children John (Mary} Berreth of New Meadows, Terry (Judy) Berreth of Kimberly, Ellis (Marvene) Sanford of New Meadows, Noni (Tim) Shobe of Buhl and Kristine Berreth of Florida. He is also survived by his step-children Teresa (Matt) Buckley, Debbie Hughes of Twin Falls and David Hughes of Texas, 25 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren A Memorial Service will be held January 22, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
