John Perry, 68, passed away on January 4, 2024.
John Frederick Perry was born September 23, 1955 to Ella Lena Edgar and Willard Frederick Perry in West Palm Beach Florida. John was the 5th of 10 children. Philip (Pat), Patricia, Dianna, Sue (Hector), Paul (Laverne), Peggy (Kenneth), Willard (Pat), Randy (Edna) and Deborah (Dave).
His father was in the Air Force so they did a lot of traveling. When John was of age, he joined the military. He was stationed in Missouri and this is where he met and married Marjorie. In June 1980 he had a beautiful daughter named Tonya. She was never out of his thoughts and talked about her quite lovingly after he moved to Idaho.
After moving to Idaho, John married Denise. After a few months of marriage they decided that they were not compatible so they went their separate ways.
While living in Idaho, John worked as a CNA at Harral’s Nursing home. John loved his residence and treated them just like family. He was their biggest advocate and would fight for better treatment. This at times would get John into trouble. He had no problem speaking his mind.
John moved to Utah to be close to his brother Paul. This is where he met the love of his life. While working at a nursing home he met Linda. John needed a place to stay and so he moved in with Linda and never moved out. In 1998 John and Linda married. John lost contact with his daughter but gained four more children, Johnny, Katie, Jessica and Amy. He loved them all and spoke highly of them.
His wife and grandchildren, Chelton, Justin and Jasmine packed up and moved back to Idaho.
After losing his wife and best friend on April 2, 2016 John didn’t know what to do. He then moved back to Utah in 2018 where he spent the remainder of his life. After doing a DNA on ancestry, John found out that during his time in the Army, he became a father. In 2022 John talked with his son, JD, for the first time.
John is preceded in death by his mother and father, sisters Patricia, Carolyn Sue, Dianna, brothers Paul and Randy.
He leaves behind brothers and sisters, countless nieces and nephews, grandchildren and his children that he loved so very much.
