Joseph Lancaster

Joseph Lancaster, a loving father, brother, and devoted youth pastor, passed away on December 28, 2023 at the age of 69. Born on May 24, 1954, in Twin Falls, Idaho, Joe was the eldest of three siblings, with sisters Becky and Amy.

From a young age, Joe displayed a passion for music, demonstrating remarkable talent and a keen interest in the culinary arts. After high school he pursued a career in music, studying at Fullerton College in California. His culinary aspirations led him to attend a semester of culinary school in Washington.

Among his many hobbies, Joe found solace and joy in fishing, a favorite pastime that allowed him to connect with nature and unwind. However, his true calling came when he felt a divine calling to ministry, leading him to become a dedicated youth pastor in Chowchilla, California. He continued his ministry, becoming an interim pastor and eventually a pastor of his own church until he retired in 2007.

In the journey of life, Joe married Wanetta, and together they welcomed three children into the world—Hailey, Erin, and Joey. Joe also had another son, Andrew Tiechmiller from a previous relationship. 

Joe leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. He is survived by his children, Hailey Sheffer of Portland, Oregon, Erin Lancaster of Twin Falls, Idaho, Joey Lancaster of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Andrew Teichmiller of Phoenix, Arizona. Additionally, Joe is remembered by his five cherished grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Fredric Louis Lancaster, and his mother, Mary-Catherine Lancaster. Joe's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Wilks Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301
