Joyce Schlittenhard Peterson

Joyce Schlittenhard Peterson, age 77 of Twin Falls, passed away April 3, 2020 in Twin Falls, Idaho. Joyce was born to Dorothy Lucile Haffner Schlittenhard and Reinhold Schlittenhard, at the Jamestown Hospital in Jamestown, ND. March 10, 1943. After graduating Jamestown High School in 1961, she moved to Seattle, WA. While in the Seattle area, she worked for Boeing, did waitress work and took care of elderly people in their home. Joyce moved to Twin Falls Idaho in 1999 to care for her aging Mother, Dorothy Lucile Young. Joyce took care of her elderly Mother for 8 years before her Mother passed in 2007. Joyce married Charles Foster in 1967. They had one Son, Mark Foster: Joyce married Gerald M Peterson in 1972. She then became a loving Stepmother to two Children, JoAnn Foster andTed Foster. They resided in Lake Forest Park, Washington located in the North Seattle area Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Mark Foster and husband, Gerald Peterson Joyce is survived by sisters, Betty Stabenow of Cooperstown ND, Sharon Reinhold of Vancouver, Washington and brother, Walter Schlittenhard of Twin Falls, ID. Joyce was a loving mother. She was a giving person to her family; especially her siblings and mother, even when facing difficult times. Joyce also had a sense of humor, a warm heart and treated everybody with dignity. She was deeply loved by her family and every life she touched. It is beyond words, how much she will be missed.
