Julia "Joan" Stokesberry of Twin Falls Idaho reunited with her husband Forrest on August 21st, 2021. Joan was born in Milford Nebraska on June 13th, 1932, to Marlettia Glenn & Glenn E. Drake both from Broken Bow NE. Joan moved to Twin Falls Idaho at a very young age. She was raised by her mother and stepfather Frank Campbell along with her sisters Francis and Leona. Joan married her loving husband Forrest on April 20th, 1953, at Our Savior Lutheran Church. To this union was born 2 children. Joan and Forrest remained members of OSL throughout their lives. Joan was an avid bowler, accomplished artist and loved listening to Opera and the symphonies in the city park. She enjoyed being a camp cook for the Forest Service Crews and later prepared taxes through AARP for over 20 years. Joan is survived by daughter Sheila (Rod) Smith, son Kenneth (Tammy) Stokesberry, 8 grandchildren and spouses, 20 great grandchildren. 9 great great grandchildren, her sisters Francis Kittridge & Leona (Jim) Turner along with numerous nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 4 brother-in-law’s, 9 sister-in-law’s and 1 great great granddaughter. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Heritage Assisted Living and Memory Care for the love and friendship they have given to our parents. We want to thank the amazing caregivers at Hospice Visions and Dr. Ippilito for their kind and gentle handling of Mom and our family.
