Roenna Kay Malone of Hansen, Idaho, passed away on Sunday, January 26 at St. Lukes Magic Valley. 

Roenna “Kay” Clasey was born in Ft. Morgan, Co on November 21, 1936, to Ralph Aldrich Clasey Sr and Alice Julianna Johnson. Kay graduated from Ft. Morgan High School in 1954. She married Donald Malone of Searcy, Arkansas in 1955. Don and Kay resided in Keenesburg, Co where they had two sons Ricky Allen Malone and Donald Dwayne Malone. The couple moved to Kimberly, Idaho in 1959 where they had two more children, Steven Roy Malone and Ruby Ann Malone (Thomas). 

Kay always worked hard to ensure her family was taken care of. One of her first jobs in Idaho was waitressing at the Uotto Café on Hwy 30 in Kimberly, and later working at Jack’s Bean Warehouse. Kay worked at Person’s IGA in Kimberly as a cashier and bookkeeper for many years before going to work as a cashier at Waremart Foods (Winco) in Twin Falls, where she retired as a bookkeeper in 2001. 

As a young girl, Kay enjoyed life on the farm. She was involved in 4H as a young girl, and as a teenager was involved in Spirit Club at Ft. Morgan High School. She was also involved in Big Sister, Little Sister. 

Kay enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband, Don and kids. Many days were spent out at Salmon Damn reservoir as well as Anderson Ranch and Trinity Lakes. Her hobbies included crocheting, quilting and spending time with kids and grandkids. She will be missed more than words can say. 

Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Malone, parents, Ralph and Alice Clasey, half- brother Ralph Clasey Jr, son Ricky Allen Malone, granddaughter Krysti Wychulis, and great granddaughter Vanessa Wychulis. 

She is survived by her two sons Dwayne (Diane) Malone of Ft. Morgan, Co., Steven (Marylin) Malone of Ft Morgan, Co., daughter, Ruby Thomas of Kimberly, Id., brother Ellis Clasey of Amboy, Wa., daughter in law Joyce Malone of Ft. Morgan, Co., as well as 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren.
