Kevin Kluth Asay, 67, passed away on September 8, 2023. Kevin was born in Casper, Wyoming, he grew up in Kimball, Nebraska, and later moved to Twin Falls, Idaho in 1966. He has resided in Filer, Idaho since 1995. Kevin worked at Amalgamated Sugar Factory for 42 years. Kevin was married to Shalon Asay. Kevin loved camping, four wheeling, and loved teaching other all traits. He always put others before himself. He loved sitting in the backyard around the fire pit, roasting hot sausages, and hotdogs. There wasn’t a barbecue that didn’t have his famous baked beans. Kevin is survived by his wife, Shalon Asay of Filer, Idaho; daughter, Kristin Carden of Graham, North Carolina, daughter, Wynterly Korom of Shoshone, Idaho, son, Jeremy Asay of Filer, Idaho, Brian Asay of Greensboro, North Carolina; 11 grandchildren, granddaughter, Keyana Gardoski of Mebane, North Carolina, grandson, Bradley Gardoski of Graham, North Carolina, granddaughter, Breanna Ivie of Burley, Idaho, grandson, Calvin Korom of Hayburn, Idaho, granddaughter, Aryann Asay of Twin Falls, Idaho, grandson, Tyler Gardoski of Greensboro, North Carolina, grandson, Alex Korom of Murtaugh, Idaho, granddaughter, Maleia Asay of Twin Falls, Idaho, granddaughter, Taylor Korom of Burley, Idaho, grandson, Dominic Asay of Twin Falls, Idaho, and grandson, Payton Asay of Greensboro, North Carolina; sister, Janet Brooks, brother, Curtis (Ellen) Asay, sister, Karen Shaddy, and brother, David (Judy) Asay; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Asay, father, Arthur Curtis Asay, and a brother, Steven Kluth Asay. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Wilks Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:30 AM-11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
