Larry Wayne Ernst 1945 – 2019   Larry Wayne Ernst, age 74, of Twin Falls, passed away peacefully at Genesis Healthcare Center in Twin Falls, Idaho on August 3, 2019. He was born in Andrew Iowa, April 1, 1945, to Vincent and Nola Ernst.  He attended school in Andrew & graduated from Andrew High School in 1963. Larry married Linda Hoppes and preceded to have four lovely children. They later parted ways and he met Lori Slama and moved from Iowa to Idaho, where they had one daughter and remained lifelong companions. Larry was an avid hunter and sportsmen. He loved his Farmall tractor collection, as well as his extensive collection of beer cans from over 30 years of being a beer distributor in the early 1980s.  Larry then became an elder of Intermountain Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. in 1984.  He then became the first Carrier Authorized Dealer in the State of Idaho and has received many prestigious awards from the Carrier Corporation. Larry was initiated into the Astral Masonic Lodge #324, A.F & A.M. on May 2, 1973. He passed his proficiency on November 21, 1973, and became the 33&1/3 Degree Mason on December 19, 1973. He served in many different capacities as a Lodge member and remained a devoted and lifelong member of the Masonic Order. Surviving Larry is his life partner, Lori Ernst, of Twin Falls, Idaho. Also surviving are his brothers Lonnie Ernst of Preston, Iowa; Lynn Ernst of Underwood, Iowa; his son Wesley Ernst of Marion, Iowa; daughter, Sharon (Phil) Rouse of Clarence, Iowa, son, Kurt Ernst of Marion, Iowa; daughter Jennifer Ernst – Shealey (Wendell) of Watauga, Texas; and daughter Stefanie Ernst (Thomas Luper) of Twin Falls, Idaho; 16 lovely grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Nola, & by his brother Lyle Ernst. Visitation for Larry will be held Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls. Funeral services for Larry will be held, Friday, August 9, 2:00 P.M. at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home.
