It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Larry Virgil Wilcox. He left this world on April 12, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with health challenges. Larry was born on July 28, 1966, to Larry Virgil Brown, Sr. (Yvonne) and Judy Darlene Wilcox. Larry was later embraced by his adoptive father, Wendell Garth Wilcox, who cherished him as his own. Larry was born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Larry was the middle child in a lively household filled with seven spirited sisters: Jackie Zapf (Lee), LeeAnn Beasley (Eric), Lori Gidney (Bill), Kandy Soto (Danny), Wendy Wilcox, Janet Pierson (Steve), and Linda McGill (Troyce). Larry had one brother Corey Brown.
Growing up, he was known for his playful nature, often pulling pranks and getting into mischief, which sometimes led to a few stern conversations with his parents. His infectious laughter and mischievous spirit brought joy and light to his family, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
An avid hunter, Larry (Wendy Chipman) found solace in the great outdoors, particularly during his adventures near Rocky Bar, Idaho and Redfish Lake. He had a unique love for the ghost town; where he would often imagine conversing with the spirits of the past. This love for nature and exploration was a testament to his adventurous spirit. Larry especially loved his long rides on his motorcycle. He took road trips wherever the wind carried him.
Larry's heart was especially full when surrounded by his nieces and nephews. Though he once disliked the nickname "Bubba," he embraced it wholeheartedly as he became the loving "Uncle Bubba" to the next generation. With each birth of his nieces and nephews, Larry's smile and heart would grow every time he held the newest babies. His warm smile and gentle nature made him a beloved figure in their lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Larry is preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides, mother Judy Darlene Wilcox, father Larry Virgil Brown, adoptive father Wendell Garth Wilcox, and sisters Lori Ann Gidney and Linda Lee McGill, twin nephews, Brett and Brad Wilcox and great nephew Brayden Jay Hutchison. He leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Larry's legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
As we remember Larry, let us celebrate the joy he brought into our lives and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace, dear brother.
A celebration of life is currently being planned. Details will be forthcoming.
