LaVerne Sina Mcomber Brown September 19, 1934 - December 22, 2021 LaVerne Brown, age 87, passed away peacefully in her home on December 22, 2021 with her daughter by her side. LaVerne was born in Cascade, Montana to Grace and Lee McOmber and grew up in Montana with her parents and twelve siblings. She married David Brown in the Mesa Arizona temple February 17, 1956. She was a loving wife, mother and friend and a talented artist and seamstress. Those who knew her loved her for her generosity, kindness and eagerness to serve others. There was nothing she wouldn’t do or give to those in need. She raised her family in many places over the years including New Mexico, Arizona, Idaho, California, West Virginia, Nevada and Texas. She had several jobs including medical office and clerical work and was skilled in computer technology at the time. She was an avid genealogist, helping many people with family history work. She dearly loved her grandchildren who brought love and light to her life. She often expressed her deep love for her Savior and was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in many callings. LaVerne is preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, daughter Toni Lee and son Steven David and leaves behind her ex-husband David Brown; daughter Wendy (Rob) Kohntopp; siblings Mark, Calvin, Jerry, Gean, Alice; granddaughter Abigail (Jace) Thompson; grandson Tanner; great-granddaughter Antonia Thompson. A memorial service will be held in Montana in the spring.
