Lilah Marie (Catterson) Watson passed away peacefully at her home in Twin Falls, Idaho on January 21, 2022. Lilah was born July 24th, 1934, in Oshkosh, Nebraska, the youngest child of Albert and Maude (Rich) Catterson. They later moved to Thermopolis, Wyoming and then seeking a better life in Twin Falls, Idaho where her folks found a sweet little yellow house on Elm Street. Mom loved for us to drive her by there so she could once again see her childhood home which brought back many great memories for her. Even recently she could still recall the names of her friends and neighbors from that neighborhood. Here Lilah attended Bickel and O'Leary Schools. Later they moved to a farm in Orchard Valley where she fell in love with horses and learned to ride. She attended a one room schoolhouse that still stands today. Later Lilah graduated from high school in Wendell where she met and later married Arthur Ray Weisman who soon after went to Korea for the war. They divorced six years later. Lilah landed a position designing window displays at Roper’s Dept. Store in the town of Buhl where she met and married Donald Gary Watson and raised 5 children with him. They loved camping in the Idaho mountain hideaways like Warm Springs, Bear Valley & Red Fish Lake. Lilah was known to be a hard worker and was proud to be a part of the hospitality team at the fabulous Twin Falls Holiday Inn and later Idaho Frozen Foods (“the potato plant”) where she was promoted to a position in the quality control lab. In the 70’s Lilah got a taste of Hollywood when Quinn Martin Productions came to town, and she landed 2 scenes in the popular TV series “Cannon” and met several movie stars that day. Lilah loved the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque and enjoyed photographing it which she was very talented at. She was very artistic and loved to draw, sketch, crochet, garden and create beautiful things. She won several photo & art contests and once displayed her art in a gallery in Albuquerque. One of Lilah’s favorite memories which she often reminisced about was an 18 day, 7 nation TWA European tour she took in 1989. Lilah loved the countryside and farms. She was especially fond of horses and dogs and had several joyful years with Bella. Sunday drives through the Magic Valley and the farmlands along the Snake River brought her much joy. She was very fond of motorcycles, was a good rider and had a vast knowledge of vintage cars. Mom adored her 9 grandsons and was overjoyed to be a part of their young lives while they were growing up. Lilah was a born-again Christian and loved the Lord. She was an active member of several church families including Tyler St. Baptist and Eastside Baptist. Lilah is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Doris Fattig, brother Russell Catterson and husband Donald. Lilah is survived by her 5 children, Brian, Rick & Tina of Twin Falls, Robb & Steven of Albuquerque plus 9 grandsons: (Ryan, Cody, Chase, Korey, Braydon, Justin, Travis, Levi, and Skip) & 15 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Idaho Home Care/Hospice and especially Mom’s best friend Elaine Johnson for all of the loving care and help they provided. The siblings would like to thank their brother Brian for taking care of Mom and keeping her in her beloved home (that she and Dad purchased in 1962) these past 3 years. We miss you dearly Mom but grateful you are now in Heaven. As our Mom loved dogs so much, in lieu of flowers the family suggests making a donation to your favorite dog rescue/shelter. Family will receive guest at a visitation on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 5 - 7 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. in Twin Falls.
