Lois Edna Kevan

Lois Edna Kevan, 95, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed peacefully on September 18, 2022. Lois was born April 24, 1927, in Kimberly, Idaho to Ingwal & Helen Valline Fonley. She grew up in Kimberly and Glens Ferry and when the family moved to Twin Falls, she completed school graduating from Twin Falls High School in 1945. She met her future husband, Irvin Richard (Dick) Kevan, when working as a waitress at Wray’s Cafe and Dick was a Bell Hop at the Perrine Hotel. They were married on June 7, 1949 in Elko, Nevada. Lois was a hard worker, retiring three times, from the Culinary Workers Union, Tupperware and the last from CSI Childcare Center at the age of 79. She did not stop working however. She became a Foster Grandparent through the Office on Aging at the age of 80 and worked 5 days a week until the age of 87. She was known as Grandma Lois and the children loved her. Lois was preceded in death by her parents. Her husband, I.R.(Dick) Kevan. Brothers John Fonley and Lester (Ole) Fonley. Sisters Jo Durk and Elaine Call. Grandson Jacob Kevan and Granddaughter Shelli Star. Lois enjoyed gardening and was very proud of her loving family, she is survived by her 3 children: Barry (Jo) Kevan, Stefanie (Lonnie) Lickley and Dannette (Bart) Starr all of Jerome ID. 11 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren. Sisters Norma (David) Alldritt, Twin Falls, Naomi (Ron) Stansell, Jerome and Kathy Davis, Jerome. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd in Twin Falls. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls.
