Twin Falls, Idaho

Lois J. Tennant, born Lois J. Fetzer on August 21, 1940, in Powell, Wyoming, peacefully passed away on July 30, 2024 in Twin Falls, Idaho.

After graduating from Twin Falls High School in 1958, Lois met the love of her life Howard Tennant in Twin Falls, Idaho on a blind date in September of 1958, they were married a week later in Elko, Nevada. Howard and Lois had 2 children, Beverly and Diane. They raised their kids moving around while Howard was in the United States Marine Corps. They later moved back and settled in Twin Falls, Idaho in 1979.

Lois pursued higher education, after moving back to Twin Falls, at the College of Southern Idaho to become a medical transcriptionist. However, she did not finished her degree as she received a job offer before completing her studies. This marked the beginning of a successful and fulfilling career where she touched the lives of many through her work for over 25 years.

During Howard's military service that took them from Florida to the Philippines and even to Japan, Lois stood by his side as a pillar of support and resilience. Her commitment to family and dedication to their well-being were truly commendable.

One of the most cherished memories of Lois was her unwavering support as a mother while her husband Howard was overseas serving in the military. Her strength and love shone through during challenging times, earning admiration from all who knew her.

After Lois's retirement she and Howard enjoyed spending time with their family and relaxing at home. In February of 2009 the family experienced a great loss when they lost Beverly to a courageous battle to cancer.

Lois is survived by her beloved husband, Howard Tennant, along with their daughter Diane Feagins. She leaves behind a legacy carried on by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Beverly Walker, and her granddaughter Stephanie.

In loving memory of Lois J. Tennant, may she rest in peace knowing that she was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Following Lois's wishes there will be no formal service for her.
