Marcia Lee Donner, born on July 16, 1932, has passed on Nov.18, 2022 peacefully and is free from the pain that has been crippling her duties since her tragic fall. Marcia, coming from a relatively small family, born in Chicago, Illinois to her Father Dr. Cyril Anderson, a war veteran from WWI & WWII, and her Mother Marjorie Anderson. Marcia moved to Idaho with her sons, David and Stephen McCalley so that Stephen could have a better education attending the Gooding State School for the Deaf and Blind. After moving to the Magic Valley, Marcia continued to learn ASL, became a part time interpreter for Deaf students at the College of Southern Idaho and held the office of Treasurer for the Idaho Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (IRID) In 2023, this organization will celebrate 50 yrs. and Marcia will be mentioned in its history. Marcia wore many hats and was experienced in different fields. She worked at the Bank and Trust, then later, The Office on Aging first as a secretary then later became the Program Director for Foster Grandparents and Retired Senior Volunteers. She then retired and became interested in Reiki. She became a Karuna Reiki Master, practiced and taught interested other members the act of Reiki for years. Marcia is a valued member of the community and contributed more than her fair share, which was a huge impact. She was also heavily involved with the mystic community of Twin Falls. Marcia is survived by her two sons, David McCalley and Stephen McCalley and granddaughter, Samantha McCalley. A memorial service will be held at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd.
