Marion Larene Wride Nelson, 87 of Salmon, left us peacefully on September 28th, 2021 to be with her Heavenly Father. Larene was born on September 4th 1934 to Marion and Helen Wride in Aberdeen Idaho. She was the oldest of 8 children. When she wasn't doing household chores she could be seen riding horses with her best friends Maureen and Roma. She worked in the potato fields and at her father's Star Sweet Shop/Theatre. After graduation she married Loyd Hugh Nelson, on July 18th 1952. They moved to Salmon shortly after and started a family. They had 5 children together. While raising their 5 children, she waited tables at Wally's Cafe and The Coffee Shop. She knew everybody and everyone knew her. In 1972 they purchased The Bumsteer Pizza Parlor and ran it until 1978, when they moved to Blackfoot. While there she worked at Non Pareil, and then as a dispatcher for Bingham County Sheriff's Dept. She loved that job! They moved back to Salmon in 1983 and ran The Loading Chute for a while. She worked back at the Coffee Shop cooking for many years. Larene and her daughter Lisa started L&L Ceramics in the early 90's and they had many laughs and fun with all her friends who would come to classes. There were many. She took on a job delivering for The Post Register for 20 years and made many new friends, including dogs. She always had a bag of doggy biscuits for them. Larene had the gift to gab and she loved everyone. She would make her rounds checking in on her friends and family. She loved horses. Larene loved her poodles and raised them for many years. They will miss her dearly. She loved to sing and she loved to jitterbug, and to just have fun. She was preceded in death by her husband Loyd, son Blake, Granddaughter Alicia, Grandson Hunter, Great Grandson Dominick Ariwite, parents Marion and Helen, brother Evan and sister Renae. Larene is survived by her children Pam & Steve Fabeny, Mike Nelson, Jolene Nelson and Lisa Nelson. 8 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandson, Brothers Dawn, Lanny, Brent, and Wayne Wride; sister Sandra, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
