Mary Helen Reyes

Mary Helen Reyes, 83, of Twin Falls and Jerome, Idaho, died January 14, 2023, in Twin Falls. She was born in Uvalde, Texas, on April 3, 1939, to Refugio and Epifania Reyes, who later moved to Idaho, where she raised her two daughters, Ruby and Anita. Mary worked incredibly hard to provide for her children as a single parent. Proud of her 12 years working at the Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, she developed many friendships and particularly enjoyed her time working in the surgical department. Mary was a longtime member of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church in Jerome who loved to spend time outside, raising calves and creating a beautiful garden before moving into town in 2003. She moved to Bridgeview in Twin Falls in 2019, enjoying her close-knit community, and sitting on her patio. She is survived by her daughters Ruby Becker (Peter) and Anita Cannedy (Scott), five grandchildren (Rachael, Melissa, Autumn, Dominique & Megan), three great-grandchildren (Zoie, Augustus, and Frances Ruth), her siblings Olivia Reyes, Anna Reyes, Rudy Reyes, and Alfred Reyes. She was preceded in death by her parents. A rosary will be held at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church in Jerome on January 18, 2023, at 9:00 am, followed by a funeral mass at 10 am.
