Mary Ann Trowbridge, 78, went to her final rest March 4, 2019 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, California. Mary Ann was born July 23, 1940 in The Dalles, Oregon to Frank Dee Vincent Bennett and Florence “Marjorie” Shew. She grew up in Klicktat, Washington, where she graduated High School in 1959. While attending High School she met her future husband, Delbert Trowbridge. They married six months later on November 21, 1959. Prior to his passing on January 10, 2013, they had just celebrated their 53rd anniversary. They began their marriage in Cle Elum, Washington. They also had the opportunity to reside in several cities while Del worked on various union construction jobs in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and California. After raising a family of 4 children, Mary Ann started her own career in 1983 when she became a Registered Seed Technologist. Throughout her career as an RST she had the opportunity to travel to Paris, Holland, Chile, Canada and several states within the United States. One of Mary Ann’s greatest accomplishments and proudest moments was obtaining her Master Degree in May 2000 at 60 years old. Seed testing was her passion and after 20-years in the industry and her husband’s 39-year career, working for the union they decided to return to his native Idaho when he retired in 2002. Upon returning to Twin Falls, Idaho she decided to continue working but this time for The River Christian Fellowship and home of the Christian Satellite Network International FM Radio Station as the Church Secretary. She worked there for 12 years until she returned to California in 2014 after the passing of her husband, to be near family. Mary Ann enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, camping and spending time with her family. Upon returning to California she found a new fellowship at Westside Christian Center in Gustine, California. Mary Ann never knew an enemy, she could strike up a conversation with anyone and once she did she considered them a friend. Her loving hugs and infectious smile would light up a room and she always welcomed a good conversation. However, her greatest passion was spending time with Jag (her constant canine companion). Jag has been with her through the passing of her husband and was at her side during her final moments. Mary Ann is survived by; her three children, Terene (Cy) Roberts of Gustine, CA, David (Jackie) Trowbridge of Kuna, ID and Wendolyn (Wendy) McGregor of Casper, WY; nine grandchildren (Kenny, Jeremiah, Courtney, Tom Jr., Stephanie, Matthew, Nathan, Kendria, and Makenzi); thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Delbert Trowbridge and their oldest son, Kenneth Trowbridge, her son-in-law, Brian L. McGregor, her parents and one sister. There will be a Funeral Service Friday, March 15th at 1:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls. Following the service she will be laid to rest beside her husband and near her son and son-in-law. Remembrances may be directed to Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home at 2251 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, ID 83301; 208-735-0011. The family would like to thank the Westside Paramedics and the Emanuel Medical Center for all their efforts in the care of Mary Ann Trowbridge. She will be greatly missed by all.
