Kimberly

Melicent Clarissa (Clixie) Hooper, a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully on February 6th, 2025, at the age of 92. She was born in Logan, Utah to Sara and Clarence Murdock and grew up in Driggs, Idaho with her 5 siblings. After obtaining a nursing degree from Weber State College she pursued a career in nursing.

On March 26th, 1954, Clixie married the love of her life, Donald Hooper, and together they built a beautiful family. They raised three children: a son, Donald Hooper Jr, and two daughters, Diane Hooper and Lisa Hodsdon. They lived in some of the most beautiful settings in Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming. After retirement, they moved back to Driggs and fulfilled a dream of building a home with a view of the Grand Tetons.

She dedicated her life to the gospel and was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her testimony of the savior was evident in all that she did, and she found great joy in serving others. Clixie held the calling of the Relief Society President several times throughout her life, offering compassion, leadership, and Christlike love to those around her. She also had a deep love for temple work and spent countless hours serving in the house of the Lord, ensuring that the blessings of eternity could be extended to others.

Clixie's legacy is one of unwavering faith, love, and service. Her kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. Her family finds peace knowing that she has returned home to her Heavenly Father, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.
