Michael John Chupa 5/9/56 - 2/20/21 Mike, age 64, of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away at home with his loving wife by his side on February 20, 2021, of an illness he struggled with for a long time. Mike was born in Ravenna, Ohio on May 9, 1956 to Edward and Marjorie Chupa. He attended High School in Twin Falls, Idaho and Heavy Construction School in Weiser, Idaho. Mike and Joyce married April 14, 1990 in Twin Falls, Idaho. Mike was a wonderful, one of a kind man. He started his career in construction tearing down the old Perrine Bridge and helping to build the new bridge. Following that he worked for Cooper Construction. He then moved to Starr Corporation as a Superintendent where he just received his belt buckle acknowledging his 20 years of service building expansions for CSI as well as Chobani and numerous other jobs. He loved hunting but was probably best known for his passion of fishing for Walleye. Mike was the state record holder in 2009. One thing he adored more than fishing was his wife Joyce. She was the apple of his eye. They could be found on weekends going on road trips to nowhere with the dogs, Augie and Doc, just so they could explore and spend time together or fishing. “Chupa” was the kind of guy that told you exactly what he thought, whether, it was good, or bad. Mike was preceded in death by Kerry Chupa, Ed Chupa and Marjorie Chupa. He is survived by his daughter Jamie Chupa, Boise, his sister Pat Chupa, Bellingham Washington, and brothers Jim Chupa (Betsy) Dallas, Texas, and Chris Chupa (Lynn), Davis California. Cremation and Private Inurnment is under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home & Crematory of Twin Falls, Idaho.
