Nina M Bagley

My mom Nina M (Westmoreland) Bagley was born on February 17, 1937, in Tremonton, Utah and lived on a farm at the point of the mountain. She was born to Broadus Young (Known as B.Y.) Westmoreland and Blanche Edna (Meeks) Westmoreland. She passed away from natural causes on June 22, 2024, at the age of 87 years old.

She was the 9th of 10 children, thus her name Nina. She grew up during the depression, so they didn’t have a lot, but they had what they needed for the most part and two parents who loved them. My mom and her siblings learned the value of hard work, especially since their mom (my grandma) died when my mom was 7. They learned how to make bread, cook, do laundry by hand and put it on a clothesline, as well as help with the farm. They didn’t have modern conveniences or an indoor toilet. They had a 6-seater outhouse. She never complained and when she had cancer, she was a real fighter and never gave up. She’s been a good example to me.

 My mom had many friends and never judged anyone. She had Christ-like behavior. She was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints until recently due to age and health.

 My mom’s parents and all her siblings are deceased: B.Y., Blanch, B.Y. Jr., Bob, Loyal, Frank, Leroy, James, Ilan, Shirley, and Florence, my dad Bud Bagley and sister, Jo Bagley Pineda are also deceased.

 She had 5 grandchildren Grace, Jessica, Alexis, Joanne, and T.J. plus 4 great grandchildren Alene, Aiden, Blaine, and Noah Brooks. She has many nieces and nephews, some who are living and some who have passed on. She has three living children Dawna (Rick) Ward, Jeff, and Dee. Mom, you can now rest in peace. I love you and will miss you. God be with you until we’re all reunited again.

A viewing for Nina will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 9:00 am to 9:45 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 2085 S. Temple Dr. Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 2085 S.
