Nolan Francis Jewsbury was born December 12, 1929, to Francis and Uva Jewsbury in Dickons, Nebraska. Nolan’s father passed away in 1938. His mother later married John Miller. Nolan attended school in Rupert and graduated high school in 1948. Nolan passed away on July 09, 2019, at his home in Twin Falls, Idaho. While in school, Nolan found his soul mate, Genevieve Carson. They were married, at the Catholic Church in Rupert, on June 5, 1949. After moving to several locations in Idaho, they settled down in Twin Falls to raise their family. They had one daughter, Deborah (Mike) Nelson, and two sons Frank Jewsbury, Michael Jewsbury. Nolan and Genevieve were married for 67 years. Nolan and Genevieve loved to go dancing at the Elks Lodge. They taught dance classes at their home and at the Elks. Nolan was a firearms connoisseur and taught his children and grandchildren the fine art of marksmanship. Nolan served as a Second Lieutenant in the Idaho Army National Guard in the 1950’s. Nolan was a journeyman meat cutter and retired from Smith’s Food and Drug. Nolan was preceded in death by his father, step-father, mother, his wife, and his son Frank Jewsbury. Nolan is survived by his daughter Deborah (Mike) Nelson, his son Michael “Moose” Jewsbury; grandson Vincent (Mari) Nelson, granddaughter Mellissa (Brian) Baecht; great grandchildren Skylar Baecht, Nathan Baecht, Haiden Nelson, Hailee Nelson, Manasha (Arri) Williams; and great great grandchildren Kaara, Darryn, and Kaliah Williams. Per Nolan’s request there will be no service. Nolan’s gravesite will be located at the Paul Cemetery next to his spouse Genevieve.
