Nora Jackson

Nora Jackson, age 76, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, of a brain disease. Nora was born in Huntington Park, California on November 27, 1945, to William and Ellen Tomlinson. She graduated from Upland High School and later attended Chaffey College and Brigham Young University. Nora was formerly married to Marvin Jackson, and together they were blessed with four children. Nora was an intelligent and talented individual who was always willing to share her gifts with those around her. Nora loved to read and write. She played the organ beautifully. She served in many callings within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her final callings were as a temple worker in the Twin Falls Temple and playing the organ in her church ward. Nora was blessed with the amazing ability to write. Her most recent job, before retiring, was Developmental Director for Children’s Service Society. Her legacy will live on in the good works she did, the countless lives she touched, and the endless love she gave. Nora is preceded in death by her beloved parents, her grandson Jett, and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her brother Tom (Kathy) Tomlinson, son Dennis (Michelle) Jackson, daughter Catherine (Glen) Campbell, daughter Joy (Jon) Kimball, son Mark (Kasia) Jackson and seventeen grandchildren whom she adored. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home located at 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A second viewing will be held on Thursday, September 15, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Twin Falls 4 th Ward, 824 Caswell Avenue West, Twin Falls. Nora’s funeral will follow the viewing at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at the Filer Cemetery. “And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make”- John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
