Paula Ewers

Paula Louise Ewers passed away on April 23, 2024 in her home in Idaho Falls, Idaho surrounded by her family. Born on November 16, 1947 to Paul Carlson and Eloise Carlson, Paula grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho in a loving family and was the oldest of four sisters. She was a cherished member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she always enriched the lives of those around her.

Paula had a passion for teaching, and after receiving her college degree she led a fulfilling career for many years as an elementary school teacher. Her favorite class to teach was second grade because she loved every child she ever met. She devoted many years to nurturing young minds with her kindness and patience.

In 1996, Paula's life blossomed further when she married the love of her life, Bob Ewers. They were faithfully and lovingly married for 28 wonderful years. They shared their lives together in Sandy, UT, Bear Lake, ID, Murrieta, CA and Idaho Falls, ID.

Paula’s hobbies included traveling, reading historical novels and bird watching. Over the years Paula and Bob experienced eighteen ocean cruises to destinations like Alaska, Mexico, Central America, South America, Hawaii and the South Pacific Islands. She loved meeting people, and especially children, in these foreign lands. She was fascinated with life and everything it had to offer. Her very favorite thing to do was to be with her family, which included two sons, one daughter, three grandsons, nine granddaughters and one great granddaughter. She was incredibly proud of all her family members.

Paula’s legacy of love for her family and friends, and her dedication to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her cheerful attitude, her infectious laugh and her bright smile will be remembered and missed by all.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Wilks Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301 with a viewing one hour prior. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park, 2296 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
