Philip "Phil" Roy Gose was born on November 10, 1950, in Twin Falls, Idaho, and he passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024, at his home in Twin Falls, Idaho. Phil was a man whose life was marked by dedication to both family and friends. Phil was married to Terry Norris and from this union they had two boys, Phil and Terry later divorced.
He enjoyed photography and turned it into a business producing postcards and souvenirs. With this business he was able to travel most of the Western United States, often with his sons. From a young age he was involved in the family business, Hertz Rent-a-Car in Twin Falls with his parents and grandparents.
Phil attended school at Twin Falls High School. Phil was known for his quiet sense of humor and his ability to get along with nearly everyone he encountered. He enjoyed spending time with his family, with fond memories of traveling together while operating his business. His dedication as a father was evident in his active participation in his children's lives, from coaching sports teams, and attending games to exploring together. Phil’s thoughtful nature shone through in care packages full of snacks and candy, reminding his kids and grandkids of his unwavering love.
Phil had a passion for exploring with his sons, which led them to share numerous adventures together. His interests also included photography, working on old cars and hot rods. He enjoyed hanging out with friends and discussing shared memories and interests.
Phil's proudest accomplishments include raising his two sons as a single father and building a business with his son Bob, which served as a testament to his commitment and work ethic.
He is survived by his children; Mike (Jennifer) Gose and Robert Gose, and his sister; Philinda (Harold) Stagg his grandchildren; Oaklee Gose, Bridger Gose, and Quincee Gose, his niece; Amanda Stagg and his Maine Coon cats.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Betty Gose, who undoubtedly instilled in him the values that guided his life.
A graveside service for Phil will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Park, 2296 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 833301.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to make a donation in Phil's name to Twin Falls Humane Society in Twin Falls, Idaho.
