Phillip Clayton Jones

Phillip Clayton Jones, age 61, of Hazelton, Idaho, went to be with the Lord on September 4, 2020. Phil was born in San Diego, CA on October 17, 1958 to Bobby and Joan Jones. He graduated from Frayser High School in Memphis, TN and obtained a Bachelor’s degree while active duty in the United States Air Force. Phil retired from the USAF after 24 years of service. He loved creating and recording his original music and lyrics, much of which he dedicated to family and friends. After accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, he used his gift of music to help lead worship. Phil is preceded in death by his parents Bobby and Joan Jones and his brothers Duane Jones and Mark Jones. He is survived by his brother Doug Jones, brother Bobby Jones and his wife Debby, sister Helen Jackson Jones, son David Clayton Jones, daughter Shana Gysen and her husband Curt, grandson SrA Cody Gysen, granddaughter Amber Gysen, numerous nieces and nephews, former spouse Donna Jones, and loving partner Joyce O’Donnell. An intimate graveside service was held on Thursday, September 10, 2020. In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made to Calvary Chapel in Winnemucca, NV.
