Phillip Ray Olson

Phillip Ray Olson passed away at 63 on Monday, October 21st, 2024, at St. Lukes Hospital in Twin Falls, Idaho.

He was born to Harold Norman Olson and Barbara Olson on July 9th, 1961, in Twin Falls, Idaho. After graduating from high school in Twin Falls, he joined the army and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

In 1981, Phillip married Kathy Gull. The couple had two beautiful daughters: Tisha Marie and Tierra Dawn. In 1991 he married Carol Ulrich and helped raise her two children, Autumn and Cole Ulrich. In 2004 he married Crystal Houser, and the pair had two wonderful boys: Gregory Justin and Colten Phillip.

Phillip worked at Swift/Darigold for 15 years, eventually changing positions to work for Soran’s Depot Grill / Turf Club for another 25 years. Phillip enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing, but his all-time favorite was gardening. Phillip loved to share all his vegetables with family, friends, and neighbors.

Phillip is preceded in death by his father Harold Olson, nephew Trevor Hine, and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Phillip is survived by his two sons; Gregory Olson of Twin Falls, ID and Colten Olson of Filer, ID; his two daughters, Tisha Ivey of Camp Verde, AZ and Tierra Fairchild of Hagerman, ID; his mother Barbara Olson of Filer, ID; his brothers Don Olson of Twin Falls, ID, Rick Olson of Twin Falls, ID, and Mike Olson of Twin Falls, ID; his sister Cindy Roesar of Twin Falls, ID; and 14 grandchildren.
