Ralph A. Breeding

Ralph A. Breeding went to meet his maker surrounded by his loved ones on December 6, 2023.

Ralph was born August 10, 1935 to J.R. and Mary Breeding in Twin Falls, Idaho. He grew up on the family farm in Murtaugh with his three siblings; sister Frances, brothers Robert (Bud) and Glen. After graduating from Murtaugh High School, he attended Idaho State University in Pocatello for two years of trade school. In 1955 he married his high school sweetheart Patricia Carrier.

He worked at Bunting Tractor Company in Burley for three years before returning to Murtaugh to farm. He proudly served in the Army Reserve for a short time before being honorably discharged. He served on the Murtaugh School Board for twelve years, and the Murtaugh Highway district for twelve years. He was also on the Twin Falls County Planning and Zoning Board, and an active member of the National Ski Patrol at Pomerelle Ski Resort for twenty years.

Ralph enjoyed restoring antique two-cylinder John Deere tractors and traveling. He and Pat visited every state and several foreign countries. They were avid square dancers for twenty years, then spent many winters in Arizona enjoying the Yuma sunshine.

Ralph is survived by his wife Pat of 68 years, his daughter Kim Hernandez and son Jeffrey (Shanna), granddaughters Lacie Hernandez (Ryan Casey), Megan Beckman (Brian) and Samantha Gaide (Aaron), and great granddaughter Sophia Casey. He loved his family and taught by example of work before play. The family would like to thank Vision’s Hospice nurses and aids, as well as Dr. Ippolito for all of their loving care.

The memorial service will be at Wilk’s Magic Valley Funeral Home located at 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301, on December 15 at 12:00pm with lunch for everyone following the service. A private family interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
