Richard (Dick) Wayne Knack, 79 of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away at his home on September 6, 2021, with the love of his life, Colleen by his side. Richard was born Richard Wilson in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Verna Wilson. She later married Lee Knack who adopted Richard and gave him his last name. Upon this marriage, Richard acquired three wonderful stepsisters and to this union a half-sister was born (Kella). As a young child, he spent a lot of time playing on his grandmother’s farm in Michigan. He loved every minute of his time there. His parents moved to Idaho when he was a young boy. He received his education in Boise and following high school he enlisted in the United States Navy. After he was honorably discharged, Richard met and married Vivienne Pearson, and to this union one daughter Renée was born. Richard love airplanes and received his pilot’s license; he bought a plane and spent many hours flying. He worked at many jobs, until he found his true calling in Law Enforcement. He was a deputy in different counties in Oregon, and then he relocated to Idaho and was a deputy in the Boise Valley County and Soda Springs area. He retired from the Twin Falls Idaho Sheriff’s Department after 17 years in Law Enforcement. Following retirement, he bought a new Harley-Davidson and became a biker. Richard had to give up riding his Harley due to an illness. He missed riding and flying for the rest of his life. In 1986, Richard met Colleen Murray through a mutual friend. When later she married, they lost touch until 2014 when they ran into each other again. They fell in love and spent the rest of his life together. Richard was predeceased by both his parents, and his Companion and Partner Canine “Deputy Jake”. Richard is survived by Colleen, his love, his daughter Renée of Oregon, his stepsisters, Cara and Dru of California, Nyla of Washington State, his half-sister, Kella of California, one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving Richard, are Miah, his four-legged daughter and many friends. Richard is also survived by his special friend, Sandy Schlund who brought in the paper every day and put up with his goofing off; a special thank you Sandy for helping take care of him those final days. You are my rock I lean on. “He rode a Moonbeam to Heaven and now is in his beloved sky, flying with the Angels.” Cremation is under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home & Crematory of Twin Falls, Idaho.
