Ricky Hinzman

Ricky L. Hinzman, age 67 of Buhl, Idaho passed away on December 20 of complications following a stroke. Ricky was born in Roseville, California on May 19, 1953 to Cecil and Bonnie Hinzman. After high school, Ricky joined the United States Army. He was a Tank Commander. while in the army Ricky went many places, some we know some we do not. He was a Master Gunner. He loved His job. He continued in the army for 20 years retiring as a 1st Sergeant. His last duty assignment and major command was HHC 3/68th AR HQ FORSCOM out of Fort Carson, Colorado. He was awarded: Achievement Medal with 1 Oakleaf Cluster Army Good Conduct Medal w/5th Award Army Commendation Medal to name just a few. Ricky was predeceased by his daughter Jessica Hinzman, his Brother Wayne Grubb, his Father Cecil Hinzman, his Mother Bonnie Grubb and her husband, Kenneth Grubb, who Ricky often said his military career mirrored. Ricky is survived by his Sons Jason Hinzman, and Devin Hinzman. Brothers Donald Hinzman and Scott Hinzman. Sisters Sherri Dunne, Teresa Buchanan and Michelle Grubb. Ricky has 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. A service will be held on Jan. 6, 2021 at 10:00 am followed by Military Honors in Buhl, Idaho at the Snake River Veterans National Cemetery.
