Robbin C Thomas-Gentry passed away September 25th from medical issues. Robbin was born May 15, 1973 in South Lake Tahoe, to Brian and Patti Thomas. Robbin’s family moved to Elko in Nov. 1974 to run Brico, the family business that Robbin was extremely proud of. Robbin attended elementary, JR High and High School (when she decided to go) in Elko. Robbin was a cheerleader through high school. After HS Robbin attended Humboldt State for a short time before deciding life and it’s adventures awaited her. Robbin married Dustin Bloxham and they had a whirlwind relationship while they lived in El Paso, TX. Robbin and Dustin were young and decided to go their separate ways as friends. Robbin moved to Boise, ID and started doing nails. Robbin loved the idea of the nail business but wanted to be involved in Brico, the family business that had relocated to Twin Falls. One day while she was working out at the Health Club she met her second love Stan Sorenson. Stan and Robbin travelled together to many places, but their favorite was the family cabin in Smiley Creek. In January of 2000, right after the infamous Y2K scare Robbin’s “Angel Baby”, Kennedy, was born. Even though Robbin and Stan didn’t work out as a couple they coparented perfectly to raise Kennedy through the years. After the family sold Brico, Robbin went back to doing nails and opened her own salon. This is when Robbin met the last love of her life, Steve Gentry and they became a couple (no Steve wasn’t getting his nails done). Steve brought his daughter, Hailie, to the marriage and instantly she was Robbin’s daughter also. In February 2004 Robbin and Steve welcomed their son Kadon. Robbin and Steve shared their love of fishing, hunting and camping. Many weeks were spent enjoying family time. Robbin jumped in with both feet with everything that she did. She did nails with a passion, loved every pet she met, even opening a do it yourself dog wash. Robbin’s latest passion was oils and their healing power. Robbin was willing to teach anyone her “hocus pocus” remedies. Robbin is going to be missed for her infectious smile and laugh. Robbin never met a stranger and as soon as she met them, they loved her. People gravitated to her and all wanted her as a friend and family. Robbin had a best friend in her sister Carrie Scott. Robbin and Carrie battled each other through life, but stood back to back as warriors against the world when needed. They are the most opposite of sisters you will ever meet and exactly the same when it comes to their love and heart. Robbin is survived by her children Kennedy Sorenson, Hailie Gentry and Kadon Gentry. Her parents BrianThomas and Patti Robbins Johnson (Matt) her sister Carrie (Travis) Scott and niece Cora as well as her Brico family that was always there for her and hundreds of friends and extended family. Robbin’s passions will be needed as she watches over everyone. And just so everyone knows, “She’s Okay Now.” In lieu of flowers a scholarship will be set up in her name at her sister’s school, the Trinity School in Bellevue, ID.
