Robert James Brown, 81 of Twin Falls, passed away Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 at his home in Twin Falls with his wife, children grandchildren and great grandchildren by his side. He was born in San Pedro, California La Rambla Precinct on August 25, 1938, the son of John Harvey Brown and Virginia Moray. On April 4, 1994 he married Dovie Mae Allison in San Bernadino, California. Robert played football while attending college at UCLA, and was an honorably discharged veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was an ordained Pastor of 14 years and served for 4 years on the Planning Commission in Needles California. In addition he worked as manager of Thrifty’s in Los Angeles for 25 years and for 14 years as a Renzenberger driver in Needles California. Surviving are his wife Dovie Mae Brown of Twin Falls, Idaho, children – Clinton Clopton of Idaho, James Clopton of Idaho, Janice and Mike Martinez of Arizona, Angela and Chris Colon Sr. of Idaho, along with Grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother – Billy Brown and step sister – Beverly Webb. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A private family service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. with burial to follow at the Snake River Veterans Cemetery in Buhl.
